25 children and youngster (age 12-17 years old from Eritrea, Syria and Afghanistan participated at our Fashion- workshop at the asylum seekers center in Rotterdam. Four artists and experienced workshop trainers, who work professionally with Fashion in their own artistic practice, did teach the kids how to develop a concept from an idea to a final piece of clothing, fabric or both. The workshop was split into 5 stages, idea forming, sketching & mood-boards, preparing stencils, outlines and patterns to the final paint and, drawings on T-shirts.
During the last stage one of our artists did an introduction in making masks. That had not only the function to stimulate creativity, but also the protect the children’s privacy for taking pictures wearing their final masterpiece.

NEVERNEVERLAND started is new project: WoD - Workhops on Demand - a series of different workshops, given by artists to children and young-adults.
NEVERNEVER JUNIOR-WOD aims to inspire young talent and assists in their creative process to tell their own stories by making art. NEVERNEVERLAND created a network of artists, working in different artistic practises, and trained them to facilitate a workshop based on their own practice. The workshop participants are invited to dive in the creative process, develop technical skills around a specific craft and get introduced to various mediums. These workshops are on locations such as schools, refugee camps, and youth centers. NEVERNEVERLAND also offers workshop-spaces.
These workshops are open for everyone under the age of 25 and do not require previous
experience.
Besides organizing workshops, NEVERNEVERLAND assists young adult talents to prepare portfolios and guide them towards applying for an art and design education.
NEVERNEVERLAND Foundation is a new initiative for the arts. In a drastically changing artistic landscape, NEVERNEVERLAND feels the urge to facilitate a broad range of artistic practices by upcoming artists.
NEVERNEVERLAND is organising exhibitions, artist residencies, events, lectures and screenings throughout the city of Amsterdam and abroad.
